Our church is Christ Church at Park Presidio ( www.christchurchsf.org ). It is a church plant that is a little less than a year old. The church has about 80 members right now, and typically every Sunday there are about 60 people there. There are a lot of young families (remember that people get married and have kids a lot later here, so 'young family' is a relative term), and there is a great range of people with different occupations, histories, and personalities. Our pastors, Toby Kurth and Jeff Locke are both excellent teachers. The worship is Christ- (not man) centered and simple. We really have loved getting to know the people there - who welcomed us into their circles with open arms and hearts. We knew the first Sunday we visited that this was where we wanted to stay and serve.
Anyway, after church today we packed up a lunch and headed over to Golden Gate Park to enjoy the outdoors. Thankfully the fog cleared up for a couple hours so we could have a warm time outside.
