An interesting fact I learned: George Lucas purchased the Ranch property (over 6,000 acres!) with part of his profits from The Empire Strikes Back. Some of his creative employees actually live there and he obviously has the ranches where his employees work - but more than 95% of the land will remain undeveloped. It is breathtakingly beautiful land and I'm really jealous of those who get to work there!
If you aren't aware of why it's pretty cool to visit this place, let me remind you of just a couple of the products that have emerged from George Lucas and his team of geniuses:
After a delicious lunch, my unnamed friend gave me a mini-tour of the Main House. The house contains some amazing artifacts: Indiana Jones' whip and hat, the original Holy Grail and the stones from The Temple of Doom, original light sabers and many other one-of-a-kind representations of Lucas's success and genius.
I also was able to see many of the buildings where Lucas products are imagined, designed, and produced. It was such a great experience - in a beautiful setting!
