You can read her re-cap of the retreat here.
And it further proves how un-industrious I can be when I'm just now doing this.
For our retreat, we went just north of the city to the Marin Headlands, a beautiful region just past the Golden Gate that offers rolling hills, winding roads, and beautiful ocean and mountain views. It's gorgeous and reminds me anew just why I love it here so much. We stayed at the Headlands Institute, a camp-style retreat and conference center that had great food, clean accommodations, and plenty of room for our little group. The staff were pretty friendly, with the minor sarcastic question "so are you ready for the end of the world?" (referring to the approaching return of Christ that Saturday that...didn't exactly work out). The Institute is located right on the ocean, so we had the always welcome sound of waves and of course the eerily beautiful blue fog so common on summer nights here. It was a great place to get away from it all.
We also had a superstar team of ladies that put together worship. They were led by Ashley and she did an awesome job! They didn't just settle for picking out some songs and having us sing them without instruments. Nope. They found Leslie, who plays guitar and Leah, who plays piano, and another vocalist, Vanessa and they put together great sets for each session we had. It was such a blessing to hear our ladies singing together!
