The workshop was all about chocolate. In our building's beautiful chef's kitchen Yigit showed ten of us how to make chocolate earl grey infused ganache, decorative chocolate swirls, truffles, and chocolate crema. We were able to sample all of these. The highlight was the chocolate crema (a kind of smooth pudding texture) with hazelnut crumble, Meyer lemon olive oil, and sea salt. Oh. My. Goodness. I could not get enough.
It was such a fun time, and Yigit truly is a super nice person and a great teacher. I was so geeked out - I've never met a TV personality before.
