If you have a reasonable (or unreasonable, as tends to be the case) vendetta against Valentine's Day, you can stop reading.
I've always loved Valentine's Day: boyfriend, husband or no. I love it. I l like the silly commercialism and the Facebook posts with flowers and I like rolling my eyes at the inevitable posts about how so-and-so is protesting the Day of Love for whatever reason they made up this year.
Go ahead and hate Valentine's Day, but don't ruin it for the rest of us. Just sayin'.
I always try to do something special for my Love on this day: a special dinner, a thoughtful gift, an act of kindness. I am not the best gift-giver, but every year I attempt to show Marc that he is my whole world and is special to me.
This year part of my gift was to bake. If you know me at all, you understand why this is a big deal. I made Pioneer Woman's "Knock You Naked Brownies." Please try them. Judge for yourself if they...ahem...work.
Marc is a wonderfully thoughtful person and always does something sweet and loving. He hasn't had a down year, ever.
Today I celebrate my sweet, unselfish, hard working, strong husband. I love him to the moon and back and would follow him farther than that. He shows me daily that he loves me as Christ loves His church and would do anything to make me happy and safe.
